Worship Service

  10:00 A.M.

There are so many words to describe a pastor, simple words like compassionate,  integrity, shepherd, and charismatic.  But It is much harder to find words to describe a pastor who is able to lead worship services and teach Bible lessons that give his listeners a deep spiritual connection to God so that they feel His love for them through the well-structured and clear message spoken by the pastor.   We are so fortunate to have Rev. Dr. Emmett Powers and invite you to worship with us on any Sunday morning.

We are aware COVID is still lingering in the world, and  for those who feel a need for extra protection, we recommend a face covering.

Our services are broadcast live on Facebook each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. at FFB Kirk of the Hills.

Fellowship after Worship Service

Please join us immediately after worship service in the fellowship hall                         directly behind the main building for conversation, cookies, and coffee.

The Adult Bible Study led by Pastor Emmett on the Psalms ended last week and because Advent starts on November 27, there will not be another Adult Bible Study until after the new year.  If you missed this study and learning to listen for the true tone of  the psalmist's heart and hearing the emotions behind the words, you missed so much in understanding the poetry of the Psalms.  The Book of Psalms by Robert Alter that was used during the study will remain a reference book to be cherished and used.  Several copies are in the Kirk library if you would like to check one out.   _________________________________________________________________________

Session Mission Committee

Don't forget to drop off  food items in the containers in the foyer of the church! The Missions Committee has been busy collecting canned and boxed food to supply the small food pantry boxes located around the community, donate to the Shirley School pantry, and offer food boxes to anyone coming to the church in need.  Christmas Joy funds received will to to offer assistance to current and retired church workers and their families with critical financial needs and to make it possible for students to learn and grow in faith at Presbyterian-related schools and colleges.  The annual cookie program will take place November 13 with cookies being delivered to those that are home-bound and in nursing homes.
