Pentecost celebrates the Holy Spirit descending upon the Apostles, as Jesus said it would. Many recognize Pentecost as the birth of the Church.Red is the official Church color for Pentecost, symbolizing the fire of the Holy Spirit.Pentecost falls 50 days after Easter and 10 days after the Ascension. This important event in the Christian faith is described in the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 2:1–31), the fifth book of the New Testament

The Kirk Men's Club come-and-go breakfast of pancakes/sausage, gravy and biscuits was served to the Chamber of Commerce members and Fairfield Bay first responders in appreciation of their service to the community.

Session Mission Team
This month we are concentrating on collecting food items to fill the small food boxes in the community as well as continuing to supply food for the backpack program at Shirley School.

Women's Ministry
Bible Study
The next Bible Study will be April 16th at 1:00 p.m. We are continuing with our Horizons Bible Study, "Sacred Encounters: The Power and Presence of Jesus Christ in Luke-Acts". Jesus shared the Good News through sacred encounters with everyday people. The Gospel According to Luke and the book of the Acts of the Apostles, or Luke-Acts, “one story in two parts,” demonstrate the unfolding of God’s redemptive purposes in human history and present a distinctive perspective on the person and work of Jesus Christ. Written by Luke, a physician and traveling companion of Paul, the message to the early Christian community (and to us) is radical, inclusive, and hope-filled. Our Bible studies are open to the public.
General Meeting on April 16th - 2:00 p.m.
The first quarter mission project has been completed by sharing Horizon Bible Study books with the Presbyterian Church in Mountainburg and we have begun the second quarter project of collecting toiletries, water bottles, towels and washcloths for the children at the Presbyterian Children's orphanage in Monticello, AR. Two prayer quilts were delivered and additional quilts have been added to the current supply.
Come and join us! Everyone in the community is invited. You do not have to be a member of our church to be a part of the women's ministry or participate in the Bible Study.
