 News & Announcements

Pastor Nominating Committee News

The search for a new pastor continue.  We are in our fifth month and the search committee continues to regularly  meet each Thursday to review the Pastor Information Forms submitted by candidates. To date we have barely missed two very good candidates and have had a phone interview with one that we were very interested in that decided to stay with his current church.  The committee is still meeting each Thursday and have entertained several new avenues of searching for potential candidates.  The Retired Military Chaplains' Association has also posted our vacancy notice again. The Chairman of the PNC is meeting this week with the Kirk Session to discuss retaining a professional search firm to help secure candidates.  The Pastor Call tab above shows the Ministry Information Form (MIF)which provides a narrative picture of the mission and ministry of the congregation and its sense of call.  It has been posted in the Church Leadership Conference system that matches vacancies with Pastors seeking calls. Prospective pastors can use the MIF provided on this site  to help them determine whether God is calling them to serve our church.  The MIF expresses the Kirk's ministry context, demographics, history, theology, values, leadership needs, and expectations.   Questions and resumes should be directed to

As we continue to accomplish this important task, we ask for the prayers of the congregation in support of our work to bring forth a nominee that will be our spiritual leader in the years to come.

 Join us for Worship

in the Sanctuary

Because of increased cases of COVID and the ease of transmission, we are being as careful as possible to protect everyone, and although masks are not mandatory as we continue to worship in the sanctuary, we encourage you to wear one.  The left side of the sanctuary is designated for those that are wearing masks,  and the right side of the sanctuary is designated for those that prefer to not wear a mask. We will continue to observe social distancing, and hand sanitizer is available for everyone.  Collection plates are not passed but one is available at the rear of the church.  We do have individual sealed containers for communion service and they can be picked up in the narthex before entering the sanctuary. Let’s all exercise wise and gracious caution, knowing that various levels of concern still exist within our church body.  Our services are also broadcast live each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. on Facebook at FFB Kirk of the Hills.

We invite everyone who believes in the saving power of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ to share with us the sacrament of Holy Communion.
