We are aware COVID is still lingering in the world, and  for those who feel a need for extra protection, we recommend a face covering.   

Our services are broadcast live on Facebook each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. at FFB Kirk of the Hills.

  Fellowship after Worship Service  

 Please join us immediately after worship service in the fellowship hall directly behind the main building for conversation, cookies, and coffee. 

                    SOUP AND CHILI LUNCHEON                                           "KIRK WITH A FUTURE" PRESENTATION

                       OCTOBER 1

 During fellowship, after worship service, there will be a soup and chili luncheon  and a presentation addressing the "Kirk with a Future" which will focus on the big questions facing the church right now. Session has been working on this plan for several months and would like everyone to have an opportunity to hear and discuss the need to prayerfully consider changes for the Kirk to have a hopeful future.

ADULT BIBLE STUDY 

   Pastor Emmett will be leading a Brown Bag Lunch Bible Study beginning on Monday, October 8th, at noon.  Bring your choice of food and the church will provide the beverage.  The study will begin with how to read John's gospel with its place among the gospels. Study will last one hour. Bible study will be in the former choir room (Now the Upper Room).  Each week the pastor will introduce a different ancient book, its theme, and other interesting details about how to read it. Plan to join us and Bring a Friend!

Session Mission Committee

 Monthly Missions: Don't forget to drop off food items in the containers in the foyer of the church!  Canned and boxed food supplies  the small food pantry boxes located around the community, are donate to the Shirley School pantry, and the church offers food boxes to anyone coming to us in need.  

Wear and Share:  The store was started in 1995 and operates under a board of directors made up of two members from each of the sponsoring churches,  Presbyterian Kirk of the Hills, Faith Lutheran, FFB United Methodist, FFB Baptist, and St. Francis of Assis.   Nancy Mueller and Greg Staton are board members. Donate items to the store and volunteer some time each month to help keep the store operating.

We Want Your Shoe Boxes:  Session Mission Committee is collecting shoe boxes for a program they will begin shortly.  Container is in foyer so please drop any extra shoe boxes that are in good shape that you may have in the container to be used for this program.

 Bible Study

 Join us in the fellowship hall at 1:00 p.m. on October 10th.  Lesson 8, ("Mary in the Faith & Tradition of the church") from  What My Grandmothers Taught Me: Learning from the Women in Matthew’s Genealogy of Jesus by Merryl Blair.

Monthly Meeting

Meeting:  Monthly meeting will be on October 10th in the fellowship hall at 2:00 p.m.  During this meeting we will rehearse the worship service for Celebrating the Gifts of Women that will be presented on October 29th.

KIRK MEN'S CLUB

The Kirk Men's Club is planning their Veterans Day breakfast in the fellowship hall on November 12 after worship serve at 11:00 a.m.  See Jerry Thompson if you have pictures or information you would like to include in their display.
